This beach house kitchen and bath remodel was performed by Done to Spec along with 2+ Design Studio from Redmond, WA. The renovation brought a late 1800’s home into modern times by completely updating the kitchen and main bath.

The new LVT flooring (Metroflor) and pine tongue and groove ceiling (WindsorONE) was installed in the kitchen, bath and the adjacent dining room (not pictured). Cabinets are from Bellmont. Lighting products in the kitchen were sourced from North Coast Lighting in Bellevue. Plumbing fixtures are from Chown Hardware. Tile was obtained through Contract Furnishings Mart in Redmond and Ambiente Tile in Bellevue. Appliances are from Albert Lee Appliance.

The initial kitchen and bath remodel plan involved replacing the original wall planks with sheetrock to provide a uniform surface to install the cabinets. Once the walls were opened, it became apparent that new framing would be required throughout the kitchen and bath. The homeowners had also indicated that the original upstairs floor had too much movement. The solution for this was to install reclaimed beams under the ceilings in both the kitchen and dining areas.
