Done to Spec recently completed this master bath remodel in a Buchan home located on Union Hill in Redmond. The homeowners started the project by working with a designer, who helped identify colors, materials and fixtures. They then chose Done to Spec to take their vision to reality.

The floor plan remained basically the same. A small linen closet was removed that was located at the left side of the vanity. New cabinets were installed, replacing the original oak cabinets from the ’80s. One upper cabinet was used with an under-mount, LED light bar. The original full-length wall mirror was removed and replaced with two simple oval mirrors.

Brushed nickel finishes were used throughout, including the plumbing fixtures and cabinet and door hardware. A composite granite countertop replaced the original tile counter.

One of the biggest changes with this master bath remodel involved removing the built-in tub and replacing it with a free-standing bath from Victoria Albert. Once all the old tub framing was removed, Done to Spec installed pebble floor tile and 12 x 20 wall tile to create a dedicated alcove for the tub.  Kohler floor-mount fixtures give this bath an elegant feel.

The shower remodel used the same tile from the main floor and tub area. The new linear drain was a great way to complete the contemporary feel. Kohler fixtures were also used in the shower.

While the Bejou may miss the soft carpet in the bathroom, the heated floor is a good compromise.
