Townhome Remodel, Redmond

Done to Spec performed a townhome remodel on this three-story unit in Redmond near the Sammamish River. The project involved the kitchen, all three bathrooms, new flooring on the main floor and new paint in the main living spaces. The project was finished in November 2013.

Kitchen updates included new quartz slab countertops, glass backsplash and pre-finished hardwood flooring. The homeowners were able to use the original cabinets. The old countertops were removed and the new quartz slabs were placed on top of the cabinets.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The master bath received a new travertine tile shower, heated porcelain floor, quartz slab counters and new chrome plumbing fixtures. The Kerdi Shower System, by Schluter was used in the shower to make it completely water-proof. A new exhaust fan with light was installed in the ceiling just outside the shower.

 

A quartz slab countertop was placed over the existing vanity. If cabinets are in good condition, this is a way to save some money while making a valuable update to the bathroom. Chrome plumbing fixtures were used in all bathrooms. The in-floor electric heat is a great way to avoid cold tile floors.

Pre-finished hardwood flooring was installed in the dining and living room and on the staircase.

 

New stair treads were installed on two flights using the pre-stained hardwood flooring. The homeowner added custom fit, rubberized mats to stairs for traction. Done to Spec painted the stair risers, skirts and handrails.
